Quilts were a welcome reprieve for me at the start of 2020 during the pandemic. Feeling a lost sense of connection to my first grade students, I found solace in quilting as a way to meditate, create, and ease my stress from time online.
Once school returned to normal in-person learning, I created more quilts with my students. Some of them were auctioned as part of our annual school fundraiser. In the future, I'd like to explore ways to integrate math instruction while designing quilts with my students.
